Protecting Our Energy Grid

Today, we have a fairly robust energy grid in the US Tipos de energia. no, I don’t mean the state of overall disrepair of this aging infrastructure, rather I mean its ability to deliver continuous power even when a sector of the grid has a catastrophic challenge, or a major incident. Still, we’ve also noted challenges with cascading failures when the challenges or problems are compounded. Okay so, let’s talk about this, as there is a new challenge afoot; Cyber Terrorism and Cyber Warfare Now then, we need a self-healing artificial intelligent system which can better re-direct energy and make complex decisions based on past, present, and yes, future information, or advancing trends. This means it must take into consideration all past history and all past human and computer decisions, executions, and results, along with all probability of any current decision More. If a human works with the computer system, and tries to second guess it, we may find a worsened problem. Consider an IBM computer playing chess and is executing its moves and then a human attempting to understand what it is doing makes a few moves in the interim to help it in the match, well, that might be quite challenging, although in hind-sight the AI system would learn from it - still that doesn’t help us much as millions of Americans and critical other infrastructure and businesses go dark in the case of our energy grid right? Sure you see that point. A few months back I was having this conversation with an acquaintance and I stated that in the case of humans working with computers, well I stated; humans would probably mess it up, now then using the human bio-system as a model is wise, but the bio-system works without the mind, it works on autopilot and thus, that makes more sense. Still, designing a system that will encounter hostile threats and viruses is a problem too, just as in the human bio-system. My acquaintance then asks me; “Could there be an option to somehow let the AI evolve its own kind of logic and problem solving methods?” Yes, sure, but no OJT “on the job training” - only in a practice closed system. How about closed systems within systems, overseen by a master non-smart AI system, or less smart counterpart. It’s time to develop systems which cannot be easily infiltrated, closed systems for which there is not input point to insert a Stuxnet Worm or computer virus of any type, also one which can close off sections which have been hijacked or compromised. Please consider all this and think on it.
